I'm using The Gimp 2.0 that came with Solaris 10. The problems is there
is no Print option. I've replaced the default printing setup using the
CUPS pkgs of the companion CD as per the instructions on this page
http://www.lengers.com/?p=12

I've done this setup on 8 machines now and printing works great, but I
have never once remembered if The Gimp had a print option prior to this.

I can install the Blastwave pkgs no prob and their 2.2 version of The
Gimp has a print option and prints fine.

I would stick with that version, but if I receive an email with an image
attachment and try to open it with Gimp 2.2 from within Evolution I get
the following error message.

"GLib version too old (micro mismatch)

The GIMP requires GLib+ version 2.4.5 or later.
Installed GLib+ version is 2.4.1.

Somehow you or your software packager managed
to install The GIMP with an older GLib+ version.

Please upgrade to GLib+ version 2.4.5 or later."

I can open the 2.0 version no prob from Evolution but still can't print.

Anyone else have this problem and now of a fix or workaround. I don't
care if I use Gimp 2.0 or 2.2 as long I can print and open images from
Evolution with Gimp. It Solaris 10 x86 for all that matters. I have
similar installations on 4 V20z servers and 6 Ultra 20s all with the
same issue. I can't imagine I have an isolated incident

Thanks,

Aaron
