Hi,

Has anybody successfully used /etc/default/sendmail to specify
"PrivacyOptions goaway" on Solaris 10?
If yes, what is the correct syntax?

Following the sendmail man page, I have created the following
/etc/default/sendmail file

# more  /etc/default/sendmail
OPTIONS="-0PrivacyOptions=goaway"
#

After sendmail was restarted, all incoming queries (VRFY, EXPN, etc) are
blocked ( what I want).
However, out-going mails are not going out (what I do not want).

I had configured sendmail on all my Solaris servers with

define(`confPRIVACY_FLAGS', `goaway')dnl

 I used m4 utility and sendmail.mc file to configure sendmail. Everything
was working fine until a sendmail patch overwrote sendmail.cf file
directly. It did not use m4 utility and sendmail.mc file I read that in
sendmail man pages that one can use /etc/default/sendmail file to specify
options that should survive between sendmail updates.
