It appears that the core file is a dump of (old/over-age) data in your
RAM. Computers sometimes dump data from RAM onto hard-disk when the data
is not needed. 

To remove it go to your home directory (or any directory where the
dumped file is), and use 'rm <name of the core dump file>' 
e.g rm /u/usr/home/joao/dump.

there is a big (57 MB) file on my home dir called 'core'...

I don't know what it is and how ig got there... but I'dd like to remove
it....
