Hi You can simply mount your home file system to all the zones.
# zonecfg -z test zonecfg:test> add fs zonecfg:test:fs> set dir=/export/home zonecfg:test:fs> set special=/zone/home zonecfg:test:fs> set type=lofs zonecfg:test:fs> end -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Dombrowski, Neil Sent: Wednesday, March 17, 2010 10:40 PM To: Solaris-Users mailing list Subject: [Solaris-Users] using same /export/home(/home) in all zones Learning more Solaris: I'm told I should create user's home directories in the global zone, and then mount them(/export/home?) in the non-global zones so that users get the same data in all the zones. I seem to be having a difficult time grasping how to do this; my mind keeps wandering to NFS, but I'm told there's a better way. This is a new server, so I can re-install easily if need be to get this done. Does someone have a document or link that explains this in detail, or a step-by-step on how this is accomplished?
