On windows, you will usually only have one version installed if you select the default installation location. There might be files left from 3.10.4 that are conflicting with 3.14.9. If there is, it is bug. But to be safe, try to uninstall Solfege, and make sure C:\Program Files\GNU Solfege is deleted. Then install 3.14.9 and try to run the program. If you only see flashing windows, then run the debug version of solfege by selecting "GNU Solfege (debug)" on the start menu. There you should be a able to see more error messages. I need those error message, preferably a screenshot to help you debug this.
