errors at startup

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. ./configure --prefix=/usr
2. make
3. python solfege.py
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Solfege should work. I see window with startup.py, mainwin.py, stock.py
errors.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
solfege-3.19.7
solfege-3.19.8
solfege-3.19.9
solfege-3.20.4
solfege-3.21.1
Kubuntu 11.10
Please provide any additional information below.
Latest working version is 3.19.5(I checked the way I described above) and
3.19.6(from Ubuntu universe repository). All above not working on my
system. Please see attached file. I would like to help so please answer how
can I help solve the problem.
