Are there existing practices for giving credit to companies that "sponsor"

If there are no existing practices, any suggestions? The first and easiest thing that
comes to my mind is the creation of the "Sponsors" page on the Wiki to hold
information about all sponsors, perhaps list who did what work, and such. Any better
ideas?
A Wiki page would allow people to add to it themselves w/o official
requests or going through committers, so perhaps that's the best
option.
