Syncing the patch with the trunk code.
It seems that the Query.instanceOf method that I was using in
TestJmxIntegration was added only in Java 6. Strangely, eclipse did not
complain about it even though the compiler in eclipse was set to 5.0. The test
has been changed and uses an alternate 5.0 compatible way.
