in spite of years of Java experience, thoroughly reading hte javadocs dozens of
time, and consulting with several other java developers with the same
backround, i somehow failed to ever discover that "new File(parent, child)"
doesn't bother to check when child is absolute.
but is in CodeContainer.load ~line 180 ... there are probably a lot of other
places in the code base with similar bugs.
