Then we're talking past each other a bit. I understand what a tile is.
A tile can also be viewed as an implementation detail to speed up spacial
querying / filtering. So we could have a SpatialTilePoint that *is* a point,
and under the covers, it also does stuff (like index spatial tiles) to speed up
filtering.
I'm not suggesting changing SpatialTileField... I'm suggesting that in the
overall scheme of things, it's not the highest level abstraction we want.
