Can I use something like Compass for the integration? (http://www.terracotta.org/web/display/orgsite/Lucene+Integration) The idea is to change Solr code at the places where it uses lucene.store.directory. Use the TerracottaDirectory (provided by Compass) instead. Do you suggest that there is some additional directory defined in Solr 1.4 DirectoryFactory for the smooth integration with Terracotta? Can you elaborate more on the required steps? BTW When is the Solr 1.4 expected to release?
