If you declared an index analyzer, it would probably never be used in this context (i don't remember the details of QEC off the top of my head) but to be clear: regardless of usage, if you declare only one analyzer, it will be used as both the 'query' analyzer and the 'index' analyzer (even if it says 'type="query"') -Hoss
