I would suggest #3, unless you have some very unusual performance requirements. 
 It has the advantage of isolating your index environment  requirements from 
the database.

Hi I have a question regarding
CopyFields in Solr

As far as i can tell there are several ways to do the same thing

1) create an alias in the SQL Query and Delta Queries
2) specify multiple fields in the db-data-config.xml having different
"names" for the same column
3) use the copyField directive in schema.xml

is there any difference to these approaches? like indexing speed , query
performance, memory consumption etc?
