Possible to have Solr documents with deeply nested data structures (i.e. 'hashes within hashes')?

Is it possible to have a Solr documents with deeply nested data structures?
e.g. (in JSON)

{
    "name": "Fred",
    "measurements": {
        "chest": "15",
        "legs": "32",
        ...
    }
}

?
