Yes, of course, and as this behaviour is possible in mpd, it must
have a reason for someone.

Displaying the list shuffled has his advantage: i can see what
random song will be played after, and before, which is not possible
in a sorted mode.

Anyway the mpd-devel list answered this:

"shuffle" is a *command* that reorders the queue, and "random" is a
*mode* that changes the way MPD chooses the next song.

and:

MPD ensures that you hear each song only once in "random" mode.
It is not "pick one of all queued songs", but "pick one of the
queued
songs that havn't been played already". MPD will stop playback as
soon as all songs have been played (unless "repeat" mode is
enabled).

I wonder if this is because i selected both options... Waiting for
an answer to this question.

So i'll revert to my alpha sorted list, and to a random mode. And if
i listen once more the same song i will know why.

Another feature that was pleasant was that moving the mouse over the
next and prev buttons displayed the name of the related song. I
think that it will not be possible for the "next" but should be for
the "prev"?

In fact i don't really ask for this feature. The current one is
quite good, maybe a different bg color would make it more
pleasant...
