I really don't think that the problem is related to PA. I can't record from the internal mic also using 'arecord'. This is a problem of the alsa driver. I've tested ALL the available values for the model option. No way. As suggested here: https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=4131 I've tested the last available alsa drivers (1.0.20): same result. :( We are stuck on this point.
