After clean installation (Ubuntu 9.10 x64) and standard Raphael's procedure regarding stamina-speed switching on my notebook Z41XD I always see in SPEED graphics regime the following info just before NVIDIA logo shows up:
============================= usplash: Setting mode 1152x864 failed usplash: Using mode 1024x768 ============================= this report can be ignored, but sometime (about 20-25% of start up SPEED sequences) ends with infinite blinking and freezing of the boot up sequence. Any help?
