Hello,
I am really happy with Raphael's script on my VGN-Z31WN. Everything
worked like a charm. Thanks a lot for that work.
Then, my kernel was automatically updated to 2.6.31-16, and, thanks to
dkms, sony-laptop was rebuild immediately.
However, no more switch anymore, my laptop was using only the INTEL
card. I tried rerun the janitor script: no success. It told me that
everything was OK.
I checked /etc/default/grub and found:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
So, I changed to:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi_osi=\\\"!Windows 2006\\\""
Then, I rebboted twice and it was fixed.
Would it be possible that kernel update reset GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""? If
so, could the /etc/default/grub modification be included in the dkms
procedure (i am ignorant about that) or at least in the script (when
rerun for maintenance) ?
