Which GPU are you using? Intel or Nvidia? I've tried many methods to make nvidia backlight working(acpi video module on 2.6.34 and 2.6.35rc[2,3], nvidia_bl module with added GT330M id) but none of them works for me. I'm stuck with using nvidia-settings color correction. Intel GPU still panics on every kernel I tried.
