Hi Patrick, sorry, that I have to ask again. I still don't understand. If I understood your first answer correctly there was a problem with new BIOS and the Nvidia-card driver, which gets resolved by some new driver -- correct?
If I use the janitor-script, it downloads the latest official nvidia driver for linux from their ftp-server. Now, if I'd add that ubuntu-x source and upgrade what will happen? Will it download an unofficial nvidia driver created by that team? If so, I doubt that this will have support for CUDA, which I need. Please clearify. br, André 2010/8/5 Patrick Valdellon <[email protected]> > André, > > just add this ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates ( > https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates ) and apt-get > upgrade. > > br, > Patrick > > 2010/8/5 André Bergner <[email protected]>: > > Hi Patrick, > > thank you for the info.
