Hello to everyone, I would like to have some information from those of you who managed to install 8Gb of ram in a VGN z (possibly 690 or European equivalent of 3rd gen). I have tried different 2x4Gb modules (corsair and samsung) but my z always refused to boot. The bios version of my z is R3054M3 with advanced menu activated. Reading these old threads:

I'm afraid that the latter is true, given my experience and the fact that the last thread is the newer. So here's the first question: has anybody managed to install 8Gb in his/her vgn z with the bios version R3054M3 (or a newer one)? Thanks in advance, Mauro
