ATTACK ON LJUBISA JANACKOVIC CONDEMNED Representatives of Serb municipalities from north Kosovo most strongly condemned the wounding of Serb youth Ljubisa Janackovic (18) in the village of Priluzje near Vucitrn and demanded that representatives of the international community in Kosovo quickly find and punish the perpetrators of this crime. Zvecan mayor Dragisa Milovis said at a press conference in Kosovska Mitrovica that the international community must stop crimes occurring daily because UN Security Council Resolution 1244 binds it and makes it responsible for securing basic peace and security in the Province. "It is high time for the international community to implement UNSC Resolution 1244 in this region, and to find the perpetrators of all crimes, regardless of whether they are Albanians, Serbs or Muslims, and bring them to justice," said Milovic. He added that municipal assembly members from north Kosovo have sent a request to the UN Security Council that a special representative of the UN secretary-general for Kosovo and Metohija be named as quickly as possible. "At this time, when the future status of Kosovo and Metohija is being resolved, the UN mission lacks a head. We need a person in this position who will be a diplomat, a respected person, someone who does not belong to any of world power centers, and a person who will implement and respect UNSC Resolution 1244 here," said Milovic. =============== Group Moderator: [EMAIL PROTECTED] page at http://magazine.sorabia.net for more informations about current situation in Serbia http://www.sorabia.net Slusajte GLAS SORABIJE nas talk internet-radio (Serbian Only) http://radio.sorabia.net Yahoo!
