1. afaict, they predate the atf tests, especially atf's latest incarnation 2. they are fairly user-dependent (i.e. i think you'd need my private key to make them all work) 3. they are candidates for modifying to work under atf, I have yet to get the time to do that 4. luke kindly made some gnu autotests for them a while ago 5. i made some tests for my codecs stuff a while ago; the time i spent doing that was wasted now i'm very supportive about the testing framework, catching regressions, and the great things that atf has done for netbsd. and if someone was to offer to convert these tests to atf style, that would be great, thanks. best, alistair
