Misc cleanup to avoid future confusion.
- Remove more unnecessary debug sections
- Use DBG instead of COPTS to specify -Os as defined in bsd.prog.mk
- Use CFLAGS and CPPFLAGS correctly
- Explicitly set -ffreestanding
