To me the directory looked essentially empty, and I thought that there would be no purpose of having this non-working Makefile in the tree. Since 1993 there had only been the Makefile but not m4.ms, therefore I didn't think anybody missed the manual.
If the point you wanted to make with this inarticulate statement was that we don't have m4.ms imported, then the proper thing to do is to import it
Is there a way I could have known this? The manual had been absent since 1993, therefore I assumed that after 28 years nobody would be interested in adding it. That seemed to be the wrong conclusion. Roland
