i said already to reyk in private, but i guess it's worth saying in public: we are pretty much at the point where a return to groff-1.15 would be very difficult (not to mention silly). a return to groff would have to be at 1.20 level. so, when writing man stuff we need to make sure things work fine for newer versions of groff, but not be adding workarounds for old groff versions. jmc
