More PIC programming magic, as well as a specific workaround for lost
interrupts in PIC rev 1; from IRIX via Linux 2.5.69.
This doesn't fix the lost SCSI interrupts jasper@ eventually experiences on
Origin 350 systems, but this can't hurt anyway.
