acpidump is used as root and opens /dev/mem readonly, to dig out
the AML tables. (If this offends you, feel free to submit a diff
with a better extraction mechanism).
After hoisting the /dev/mem-opening code earlier, we can tame this
nasty program with "stdio wpath cpath".
