I've been plagued by this disappearing underscore for ages. I don't give
a fuck what's the default in Xorg, nor how many centuries it takes for this
to get fixed upstream, but if this change means I no longer have to figure
out whether or not I'm going to be able to see underscores in my code (which,
btw is CRIPPLING for my development environment), I'm all for it.

It's not developer's personal preferences. Not seeing underscores in an xterm
because you chose the wrong size is a BUG, plain and simple. If it can't be
properly fixed (by say, ensuring the font SHOWS underscores in each and every
size), then I'm fine with the next best thing, which is a work-around.

THANK YOU naddy@.
