First step towards hammering this document into something resembling shape.
This is intended to make the markup a bit easier to edit and look at. Break
lines at around 80-90 charactes whenever possible; clean up links to man
pages; quite a few fixes for broken markup.
Now the first part of the document passes validator.w3.org -- the quick
installer part fails because of <ul> environments without <li>'s.
No visible change in firefox.
