The immigration office in Western Bahr el Ghazel (WBeG) State has
registered more than 1,800 foreigners, as part of an exercise to crack
down on illegal immigrants.

The state immigration office gave non-South Sudanese nationals until
the 21st of July to legalize their stay or be arrested and face legal
action for illegal entry into the country.

The Director of immigration in Western Bahr el Ghazel State, Issac
Hilario Dunia, has urged all foreign nationals to comply with the
directive.

Hilario warned nationals against harboring illegal immigrants for cheap labor.

The registration process was originally scheduled to end on the 7th of
July, but was later extended to the 21st of July.
