JUBA, 14 November 2012 [Gurtong]- The books covered subjects including
Political Systems of the World, House of Common Procedure and
Practice, Constitutional Concepts and the Blackwell Encyclopaedia of
Political Institutions.

The books were received yesterday by the Rt Hon James Wani Igga,
Speaker of the National Legislative Assembly, in the presence of the
Deputy Speaker, Hon Fatma Nyawang, the Clerk, Othom Rago Ajak, and
Political Advisor to the Speaker, Morris Lado.

During the handing-over ceremony, the Rt Hon Igga welcomed the gesture
of ongoing support from the British Parliament, who donated the books
from the House of Commons Library.

The donation was in response to an earlier appeal by the Speaker to
Her Majesty’s Ambassador Alastair McPhail for books to fill the
National Legislative Assembly’s nearly-empty library.
