April 15, 2013 (SSNA) -- The famous quote by late senator Daniel
Patrick of New York “You are entitle to your own opinion, but, you’re
not entitle to your own facts”.

Decision making is an essential leadership skill. If, you can learn
how to make timely, well-considered decision, then, you can lead your
team to well-deserved success; nevertheless, it’s absolutely necessary
to make a decision by weighing up the real progress. A true leader
walks his/her talk.

You may imagine team that works seamlessly as a whole, everyone bring
unique talents and strengths to the table, nobody is playing politics
or bickering, and there’s just enough competition spirit to bring out
the effective ideas, and everyone contribute to the team goals. It’s
awesome!

To begin with, four seemingly endless months, days and nights of the
most stressful and devastating time of my life, later, my right eye
fluttered open, and was gazing around the operation room, like the
piece of puzzle fell into place. To be honest, there is no surprise
more magical than to retrieve your eyesight and see once again. Thanks
to the God first, and to the modern technology of 21st century.

Once, I was setup by my boss on my first day at the job, when I
arrived to find someone in the office I ‘D been told that; would be
mine puzzled state, I went to find the person who had hired me, but
she was away at a conference. So, I told somebody else my story, she
made a few phone calls, then, told me to find a place to sit for a
while.

Don’t speak to anyone “she ordered me.

“Just wait for someone to find you something to do until your boss
returns” she added.

Guess; what happen

Stunningly, it turns out that; before my boss left the office for a
conference, she had forgotten to fire the person I was replacing. Are
you kidding me?

I didn’t buy this, but my speculation was that; she does just don’t
have a gat to confront him that he was fired, and she wants somebody
else to be her scapegoat.

And many leaders do that! Or someone may ask; what is the answer to
this stifling unethical decisions?

A boss must be courageous, dauntless, and bold, when it comes to
decision making. You must take a gage and huge step. In life I learn
that; you may not always right, and older or boss are not always
wiser. Some times we allowed our presuppositions to over ride obvious
facts – it’s really isn’t so bad to admit that you’re wrong once in a
while.

You may be a person of few words, but you know how to make them count,
when there is something worth saying; you say it. Believe me, these
words may do it quietly, but their influences are everywhere.

Again, only a couple of months later, I was chewed out. Do you know why?
Just, because, “I looks down on here”, she said.
She was four, and I was six two.

This is my story!!
