Investors from India visited Western Equatoria State Minister for
Commerce, Trade and Investment to express interest in setting up a
water bottling plant in Yambio.

Premi Haroi Vekariya said the investors would also like to establish a
wood factory due to the availability of many forests in the state,
Radio Anisa reported.

He asked the state government to give them space in Yambio.

Minister Simon Ngbidigi welcomed the Indian delegation and asked them
to process seven documents needed to license their companies from the
national government in Juba.

He asked also for a concept paper to be analyzed before any approval
could be granted.

In another development, a Jordanian company known as “Lumberlogs Co”
on Wednesday met the minister to discuss more investments and the
progress at the Saw Mill Facility opened in Nzara County.

Lumberlogs Manager Jasbir Singh Likhari explained that the company
would like to introduce a refrigerator truck to market fresh
vegetables inside and outside the country to expand business.

The Minister welcomed the idea promising that the Ministerial Economic
Sector group would pay a visit to the site to conduct preliminary
studies on all the investment initiatives.
