Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press that on Friday’s ordinary sitting the cabinet approved nine human rights conventions and statutes passed by the United Nations and the African Union. Dr Marial said the Cabinet also reviewed the progress report on the Millennium Development Goals presented by the head of the National Statistics Bureau Isaiah Chol Aruai. He commented that South Sudan does not have enough resources to reach the eight goals that include the reduction of poverty and the strengthening of education and health by 2015. Dr Marial said the Cabinet decided to establish statistics officials in every ministry to collect and process key data. < Prev Next > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
