*JUBA – 29 November 2013 [Gurtong] - *A decree issued by the President,
Salva Kiir and read by the South Sudan Television yesterday unveiled the
news.

On Wednesday, a day before Mikaya’s promotion to Major General, President
Kiir decreed him as the new Director General of the South Sudan Customs
Service replacing Rt. Maj. Gen. Fredrik Lokule.

On Wednesday Kiir also issued several other decrees making changes in the
government.

Modi’s appointment is the latest of its kind following President Kiir’s

to 22 Ministries. It is a move aimed at bettering provision of service
delivery.
