*SPLM Acting Secretary-General said the party would rise and run again
despite of mounting mid December crisis obstacles.*

Ann Itto Leonardo told the press on Wednesday that the party suspended its
membership registration and the national convention until further notice.

She likened the recent SPLM members' conflict to a fall of a walking baby
and that it did not mean complete collapse of the party.

Dr Itto said the mid December crisis was challenge of national building
that would be overcome.

She announced one month program to enlighten citizens on party values,
political objectives and delivery of food and non food items to conflict
victims.

Dr Itto said the program would clear speculations that the party was
responsible for the crisis that claimed ten thousand lives and lost of
property.

The Acting Secretary-General pointed out that SPLM vision and mission of
building a democratic nation did not changed.

She said some individuals who did not live up to the party values were
responsible for the mid December mess.

Dr Ann Itto said it was time to reflect on mistakes, correct them and
commit to dialogue and reconciliation.

She hopes for a peaceful, prosperous, just, democratic, diverse and united
