Wau Radio back on air after four month-long blackout

Local authorities in Wau town in South Sudan’s Wau State announced that the
government-owned radio station is back on air after more than four months
break down of its transmission system.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, Alor Deng Kur, Director of the radio
in Wau town, confirmed that the radio was back on air for two hours in the
morning and evening for a test broadcast on a new frequency of 96. 5 FM.

He pointed out that the station stopped when the lightning struck it during
the rainy season. Last year.
