SPLA soldier killed in attack in Kajo-keji County KAJO-KEJI (15 Feb.) An SPLA soldier who was driving a military truck was killed and several others injured in an attack carried out by unknown gunmen at Modikolok area in Kajo-keji County on Sunday, a local official said. Luka Yombe, the Commissioner of Kajo-keji County, told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that an SPLA truck was attacked by unidentified gunmen at Mondikolok village on Sunday.He pointed out that the incident resulted in the killing of the driver and wounding of several others. “I was informed that the driver was killed in the attack, and I am sure there are wounded soldiers, but I don’t know the figure exactly,” said Yombe. Separately, Luka Yombe said that Mondikolok area has been entirely deserted after at least five people were reported killed in clashes between SPLA troops and armed opposition groups last month. Meanwhile, Stephen Ladu, Minister of Information in Yei State, confirmed the attack on SPLA soldiers at Modikolok village.
