Local authorities in Baggari County in South Sudan's Wau state have
released two opposition leaders who were under detention at Natabu military
base ahead of President Kiir's national dialogue, a local official said.

Speaking to told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday, John Taban, Commissioner of
Baggari County, said the two opposition members were released to reaffirm
the government's seriousness about the dialogue process and peace in the
country.

The local official identified the released members of the armed opposition
group as Batista Kamilo and Daneil Sirgi.

For their part, the two opposition figures expressed their happiness about
the decision taken by the county authorities to release them , saying they
were not tortured by the SPLA army."I want to give thanks to the SPLA. If
there are people outside there thinking that SPLA soldiers are treating
people badly, I would say no, I was held here, and I spent the night here,
but I has been released in the presence of the commissioner," said Batista
Kamilo.
