I'm using git-1.5.5.6-2.el5.i386

And looking at the tig --all list, the last "Automatic commit" was
rhnpush-5.3.0-1 which
Jan did. So it is indeed always reporting this error on the most
recent tag of a package.
This NEVER happened before so something is up.
