... Strange. After running: /usr/share/spacewalk/setup/upgrade/rhn-enable-monitoring.pl and fixing messed DB Settings in rhn.conf (caused by this script) everything seems to work again. I am also using SN instead of SID (as suggested by our DBA) to connect to the Oracle DB with the following settings: hibernate.connection.url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=myhost.mydomain.tld)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=mysn))) and a similar tnsnames.ora where the describer is set to 'mysn'. Everytime a DBI config string asks for a db_name/dbname (e.g. in rhn.conf and cluster.ini) I have set this to the value of the describer.
