Thanks Mirek.  So does that mean that Spacewalk doesn't use system records for 
anything, even if they exist?

I was thinking about maintaining kickstart profiles in Spacewalk and using 
cobbler command line to maintain per-host variables in system records.  Do you 
think that could work?
