I managed to download the git repo for branch 2.5 and compile the rhn.jar file in that one. (with the modifications from the git pull 500) I placed the rhn.jar file in /usr/share/rhn/lib/rhn.jar md5sum is 7bcfa90121bf9cf9dc86d13548b41995
I recreated the channel and repushed the deb file; rhnpush -c debian-8-testing -u ***** -p ***** /tmp/samba-libs_4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5_amd64.deb -v Connecting to https://localhost/APP Package /tmp/samba-libs_4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5_amd64.deb Not Found on RHN Server -- Uploading Uploading package /tmp/samba-libs_4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5_amd64.deb Using POST request After that I’m able to find the files; /var/satellite/redhat/1/bbf/samba-libs /var/satellite/redhat/1/bbf/samba-libs/2:4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5 /var/satellite/redhat/1/bbf/samba-libs/2:4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5/amd64-deb /var/satellite/redhat/1/bbf/samba-libs/2:4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5/amd64-deb/bbf51f341c08925de1c0eb4c0f40118ab5a5ae452426c01ef0ccb5f77827b612 /var/satellite/redhat/1/bbf/samba-libs/2:4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5/amd64-deb/bbf51f341c08925de1c0eb4c0f40118ab5a5ae452426c01ef0ccb5f77827b612/samba-libs-2:4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5.amd64-deb.deb But I’m unable to ‘see’ it as a possible update for my test server (on which I’m certain he needs it as an update). I also can’t install the package since it isn’t shown there.. I do however see it as a package in the channel.. (but I already was able to see it before these changes). I noticed that a lot of packages which are installed on the server are not clickable and a few are (for the debian based server, the CentOS host itself has lots of clickable packages). For example, the package name apache2-2.4.10-10+deb8u8 is clickable, but the package adduser-3.113+nmu3-0 is not. I also noticed that the rhn.jar file didn’t change (md5sum didn’t change after the installation), so I might have done something wrong? I’ve now deleted the channel and am only importing one .deb file so I can react a bit faster.. After that you need to completely delete and rebuild your debian channel.
