Any changes from the default should be placed in /etc/rhn/rhn.conf. The start process reads the defaults, then processes the rhn.conf for any additional settings.
Here is an example of increasing the rhn-search memory. [root]# grep search /etc/rhn/rhn.conf # Increase rhn-search https://access.redhat.com/solutions/322093 rhn-search.java.maxmemory = 2048 - Thanks and good luck From: Thomas Schweikle <tschwei...@gmail.com> To: spacewalk <spacewalk-list@redhat.com> Date: 03/20/2018 05:51 AM Subject: [Spacewalk-list] Where to put modified rhn_search_daemon.conf? Sent by: spacewalk-list-boun...@redhat.com This email originated from outside of the company. Please use discretion if opening attachments or clicking on links. Hi! Default rhn_search_daemon.conf is located at /usr/share/rhn/config-default/. I've tried to put a modified version into /etc/rhn/rhn_search_daemon.conf but this is ignored. I've tried to find some information about this config file, but only found hints for the default directory. Nothing about where to put changed versions to have them parsed while rhnsearchd is started. -- Thomas _______________________________________________ Spacewalk-list mailing list Spacewalk-list@redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/spacewalk-list ** This email and any attachments may contain information that is confidential and/or privileged for the sole use of the intended recipient.
