Summary: URI rules don't parse % sequences
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 2.61
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: Rules
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I have a rule on my system looking for obfuscated redirect links like this:
uri URI_YAHOO_REDIRECT /drs\.yahoo\.com.*\*http/i
It works great, but it doesn't work when the spam contains obfuscated characters
like this (%68):
http://drs.yahoo.com/stiffness-seriocomicexpedients-critique/splicedcosmorama/*%68ttp://phallales_bedarkencotswold_easier.sponsor.org%40%3193%2E19.120.39/0/p/?fruitful_allynucifraga_munimentnotoryctus-protectingprepossess_choctaw
It's not hard to enhance the rule, but it will be a pain if I have to go through
and enhance all of my uri rules to look for that kind of obfuscation.
