Summary: runaway spamd with pyzor (uses 100% CPU and does not
return)
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 2.63
Platform: PC
URL: http://members.kabsi.at/wh/spamassassin/
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: spamc/spamd
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi!
I'm having trouble running spamd/spamc and pyzor.
With some messages, spamd just says:
debug: Pyzor is available: /usr/bin/pyzor
debug: entering helper-app run mode
and hangs while consumung all available CPU time.
I need to kill the spamd process then.
If I pipe the same message through spamassassin, everything works.
You can view the debug logfiles at
http://members.kabsi.at/wh/spamassassin/
where you can find:
spam-testmsg ... sample message crashing spamd
spamd.log ... debug output of spamd
spamassassin.log ... output of working spamassassin using spam-testmsg
FYI, I ran:
spamc -U /var/lib/spamassassin/spamd.socket -R < spam-testmsg
which did not return either and had to be killed just as spamd.
Used versions (under SuSE-Linux 9.0):
spamassassin-2.63
razor-agents-2.36
pyzor-0.4.0
If you need anything else, like my custom configuration file, please
email me. I'm reluctant to post it publicly... ;-) Thanks.
Regards, Walter
