I'm posting this idea here to see what the dev's think about improving the --lint feature of SA to detect when a RTBL starts tagging everyone.
Maybe --lint isn't the best place for this, but it might be a nice feature to have! Would it be possible to make a querry against the RBL's and see if they match a randomly selected IP (known not to be listed?)? I seen a program (fluffy SMTP proxy) which had built in support for finding dead RBL's by querry'ing for an IP address which is not listed. The only difference is that fluffy would automatically stop using the dead RBL. I don't see how that'd be possible with SA, but it's the idea I'm after. I brought this up here, as a way to get other idea's about how one might tackle this problem if it ever becomes a problem in the future. Frederic Tarasevicius
