spamass-milter appears to return from its call to "smfi_register(smfilter)"
but does not seem to exit and hangs the boot sequence.
The "/etc/init.d/sa-milter start" script has:
daemon spamass-milter /var/run/sendmail/spamass.sock
"/etc/init.d/sa-milter start &" leaves the following processes:
1681 pts/1 00:00:00 sa-milter
1693 pts/1 00:00:00 initlog
1694 pts/1 00:00:00 spamass-milter
1695 pts/1 00:00:00 spamass-milter
1696 pts/1 00:00:00 spamass-milter
In fumbling through the SA-milter source-code I put 1 + 1 together and got
10, I am assuming the "socket" value it is expecting must match the socket
specified in the sendmail.mc line:
INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`spamassassin',
`S=local:/var/run/sendmail/spamass.sock, F=, T=C:15m;S:4m;R:4m;E:10m')
