I just wanted to get the word out that pop3proxy (written by Dan
McDonald and Johan Lindstrom) is now in CVS. It runs on both Linux
and Win32 and (there's a simple GUI and installer available for
Win32). It requires ActiveState Perl, Inno Setup, and some other
stuff to build the full Win32 release. I started documenting some of
the build requirements for Win32, but the documentation still needs
some work.

Also note that we're following a different release process and
schedule than the core SA and *please* use the "pop3proxy" category
for any bug reports. We will probably move the "pop3" directory into
a separate CVS module at some point (hopefully with some assistance
from the sf.net staff so the move is clean).

Dan McDonald (yes, two Dan's) and I are planning a lot of improvements
in the near future, but if you are brave and willing to try it out,
I'd be interested in feedback (and contributions, of course),
especially on the Win32 side of things since Johan's GUI code is new
and has been run by much fewer people.

Please follow-up to SAdev since it's still beta code.

Dan
